Ecotex® DC Blue Screen Printing Emulsion (Quart - 32 oz.) Diazo Required Photo Emulsion for Silk Screens and Fabric

Graphic prints DC-Blue holds excellent print definition making it ideal for prints that contain high detail such as halftones. This emulsion has a quick exposure time that works well with a variety of light sources, and it is compatible with plastisol, UV and solvent-based ink systems, but not recommended for use with water-based inks. DC Blue has a 12-month shelf life without the addition of diazo, and a 1-month shelf life once diazo is mixed in the emulsion. For screen preparation, we recommend Ecotex Hyper Haze, as it will degrease your screen and give the emulsion a clean surface to stick to. Eliminate any UV light from entering the room and work under a yellow light. Write down the day you opened the emulsion on the bottle to better keep track of your chemicals.

When coating the screen, use the sharp edge of your scoop coater. Make sure the screen is completely dry before coating the emulsion and before printing. Drying should be done at 86°F to 104°F (30°C to 40°C) with 30% to 50% humidity and good air circulation.

Exposure times may vary, so start using the times provided (100-105 seconds with LED light, 12-13 minutes with 500w Halogen light) and make adjustments to the time if needed.
